Tube Feed Room Operator vacancy at Department of Health
- OPERATOR: TUBE FEED ROOM
- SALARY: R163 680 per annum
- CENTRE: Groote Schuur Hospital, Observatory
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum educational qualification: General Education and Training certificate (GETC) /Grade 9 (Std 7)
- Experience: Appropriate experience in a hospital tube feed service.
- Inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work overtime on public holidays and weekends. Physically able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, packing, and pushing heavy trolleys.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
- Ability to read and write.
- Basic numerical skills with an ability to adapt tube feed recipes.
- Basic knowledge of nutritional products.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices.
- Basic knowledge of storekeeping and stock management.
- Good communication skills.
DUTIES:
- Basic stock taking, Perform basic administrative tasks as required within the department.
- Delivery and dispensing of tube feeds and supplements.
- Maintain optimal hygiene standards in the Tube Feed Room and store area.
- Preparation of tube feeds and oral supplements in the Tube Feed Room.
