Requirements:
- Abet certificate. No experience required. Valid Driver’s license will serve as an added advantage
Duties:
- To perform general routine manual maintenance activities.
- Perform routine activities in respect of grounds through inter alia the following: Irrigation & watering of plants/lawns, Weeding, Pruning & trimming of plants, Cutting, seeding, transplanting, Mowing lawns, dispose of organic waste, dig up compost, Digging, Spraying, maintain flower beds, edges, etc.
- Perform general routine activities in respect of infrastructure which would include inter alia the following: Maintain road markings, painted surfaces, canals, buildings etc. Cleaning signs, light fittings etc.
- Sweeping, Mix and lay cement for walkways, driveways etc. Unblocking drains, Empty and clean waste collection bins, Cleaning and maintenance of roads, pavements and greenhouses.
- Perform general activities which would include, inter alia, the following: Care for equipment e.g. cleaning, oiling, sharpening etc. Loading/off loading, Moving furniture, Make minor repairs to furniture and Wash government vehicles.
- Assist in firebreaks and veld fire firefighting.
