- Duration: 36 Months (Fixed-Term Contract)
ArcelorMittal South Africa is the largest steel producer on the African continent, with production capacity reaching 5 million tonnes of liquid steel annually. As part of the global ArcelorMittal Group, operating in more than 27 countries, the company plays a critical role in supplying smarter, sustainable steels that support the circular economy.

ArcelorMittal is offering a 36-month Production Learnership for individuals wanting to train as Process Operators within the steel manufacturing environment.
Successful candidates will:
- Enter into a 36-month Learner’s Agreement
- Receive structured institutional and on-the-job training
- Be assessed regularly throughout the programme
- Learn the full steel manufacturing process in a world-class production environment
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with the following minimum results:
- English: 45%
- Mathematics: 40% OR
- Mathematical Literacy: 50%
- Must be South African youth under 35 years old
- Must be able to complete medical assessments
- Must be willing to undergo background checks and provide consent for personal information usage
