Barloworld Equipment Apprenticeships
Barloworld Equipment is accepting applications for Apprenticeship programme.
This apprenticeship provides hands-on technical training in the inspection, maintenance, repairing, and servicing of heavy earthmoving machinery. Successful applicants will work in both workshop environments and customer sites while gaining strong foundational skills in heavy equipment servicing.
Key Outputs
- Inspect heavy earthmoving machinery
- Perform basic troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance
- Conduct repairs and component replacements
- Remove and install machine components
- Order parts when required
- Complete own administration including:
- Service reports
- Labour bookings
- Parts returns
- Expenses
- Compile accurate customer machine assessments
- Complete Machine Inspection Reports (MIR)
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / N3 with Pure Mathematics (minimum 45%) – Functional Maths not accepted
- Grade 12 with English (minimum 45%)
- Grade 12 / N3 Physical Science (minimum 45%)
- N2/N3 relevant theory is an added advantage:
- Motor/Diesel Theory
- Electrical/Electronic Theory
- Technicians for the World Certificate (advantage)
- Minimum Code B Learner’s Licence (advantage)
