Rosond Bursary

Rosond is currently accepting applications for 2026 academic year bursaries.

Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies within the following critical and scarce skills fields as, as determined by ROSOND:

  • Data Science
  • Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical etc)
  • Environmental Management
  • Finance
  • Geology
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Mining
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Supply Chain
  • Technical Trades

Bursaries will be awarded based on 2 main criteria: academic performance and financial, need as determined by ROSOND external/ internal bursary policy.

Funding will be awarded for one academic year of study.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be studying or intend on studying full-time towards an undergraduate qualification, within one of the fields of study listed above
  • You must be in your 1st to 3rd year of study
  • You must be studying or registered to study at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa
  • You must have achieved a minimum overall average of 60%
  • Priority will be given to applicants residing within the Rosond Host-communities
  • Priority will be given but not limited to previously disadvantaged students, planning to study full-time towards an undergraduate degree or diploma in an area that falls within the scarce and critical skills requirements of ROSOND
  • Internal bursary: you must be a biological or legal dependant of Rosond employee

Application form and supporting documents must be scanned and mailed as one document.

If no feedback is received by 31 January 2026, consider your application unsuccessful.
