HR Internship Programme at SABC

The HR intern will support the HRBP Lead and HRBP Consultant in delivering key HR services and initiatives that align with the organizations’ business objectives. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations while assisting in day-to-day HR functions. The internship will provide an opportunity to develop essential HR competencies while working closely with experienced HR Professionals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist is providing HR Support to employees and managers, ensuring effective communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support HRBP team in managing employee relations cases, including grievances, disciplinary processes, and performance management.
  • Help coordinate HR initiatives, such as engagement programs, learning and development activities, and workforce planning.
  • Participate in recruitment processes, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
  • Support the implementation of HR projects aimed at improving employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with different HR teams to gain exposure to various aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, benefits administration, and organizational development.

INHERENT/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree (NQF 6/7) in Human Resources or related discipline
  • Must reside in KZN
  • Computer Literacy – MS Office Application
  • Handle all information (documentation & discussion, meetings, Instructions) confidentially
  • Strong attention to detail
