Requirements:
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience post qualification as an Artisan.
- A valid drivers’ licence.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 and other relevant Legislations.
- Project Management.
- Technical design and analysis knowledge.
- Research and Development.

SKILLS:

Duties:
- Supervise and produce designs according to client specification and within limits of production capability.
- Produce objects with material and equipment according to job specifications and recognised standards. Render quality assurance on produced objects.
- Inspect equipment and/or facilities for technical faults.
- Repair equipment and facilities according to standards.
- Test repair equipment and/or facilities against specifications.
- Service equipment and/or facilities according to schedule.
- Render quality assurance of serviced and maintained equipment and/or facilities.
- Update register of maintained and repaired faults.
- Obtain quotations and purchase (order) required equipment and materials.
- Compile and submit reports as required.
- Keep up with new technologies and procedures for continuous individual development.
- Research on technical/engineering technology to improve expertise.
- Provide inputs to the operational plan.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, requirements and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor staff.
- Plan the usage of resources.
- Schedule works.
