- TRADESMAN AID (TECHNICAL SERVICES)
- SALARY : R163 680 per annum
- CENTRE : Valkenberg Hospital
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 or equivalent.
- Experience: Appropriate experience in tasks performed in a maintenance workshop within a hospital setting. Appropriate experience of workshop tools.
- Inherent requirement of the job: A valid (Code B) driver’s licence and willingness to travel. Ability to operate and use required tools and equipment skilfully and safely. Ability to perform heavy physical labour.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to handle tools, parts and materials. Ability to work in a team and independently. Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
DUTIES:
- Carry out minor maintenance and repairs tasks.
- Assist with repairs and emergency breakdowns (including after hour’s repairs).
- Assist with the installation of plant equipment and alterations.
- Assist with the control and requisitioning of material and parts.
- Clean areas where work has been carried out.
- Ensure that all tools and materials are available before commencing any tasks.
- Assist the Artisans in the execution of their respective duties.
